Found this very thorough review, there are 5 pages. Also has good pictures of the new Trac, one in gray and one in black.

No rear sliding window on the 2007? That would be a major turn-off for me. I love the power sliding window.

That's an early production, should I say "beta" ST?

I guess some features will be added or removed on the market released product, like the keypad and rear sliding door.

I would REALLY love to see the grill in a matte black finish instead of chrome...

The keypad will be on the 'B' pillar, the movable rear window will be job 2. And other grills may be available. This picture is an Explorer at the outside display at Dallas.

TRAket-

According to the linked article, only two trims will be on the '07 ST, XLT and Limited, both with the chrome grille...."tough luxury" Ford calls it...uneeded and ugly to everyone else.

My basic thought is that an unchromed grill section can obtained over the counter, painted and and simply bolted in place. Just another modification that personalizes the ST, not unlike painting the lower cladding on the first years of the ST.

The crome is ugly and the IRS is even more so.

The new Sport Trac, I can't wait until last year.

OK, these photos only solidify this thought I've been having...

Is it just me, or does all the new chrome on the roof rack and step bars make this thing look like a Subaru Baja? (And that's NOT a good thing.)

And yes, the gas cap side change has been discussed elsewhere here.

Oh crap--

I just saw that the new "Sport Trac" tailgate badge isn't body-colored. It's RED, regardless of body color--similar to the original crappy red Sport Trac badge, only now instead of matte red, it's shiny metallic red, so it really stands out just what an eyesore it is...

That's gotta go!
