2001 ST 5spd or 4 spd?

2001 ST 4X2..Is this a 4 spd or a 5 spd auto tranny..question i ask is because in the cluster it show P R N D 2 1 and D has over drive with it so that would make it a 4 spd..But i was jus wondering becasue i hear people say its a 5 spd..from what i seen with the regular exploeres the 5 spd trannys show the 3rd gear in the cluster..(P R N D 3 2 1) and D with over drive..

5 Speed. Not very often do you need to manually shift into 3rd gear.

The other thing is you can not hold the sport trac tranny in 3rd gear, eventually it will shift. It is designed that way... Kinda stinks....
