2003 ? Is it worth it

Hi, i'm new to the site and am considering buying a used 2003 ST, is there anything i should know about them before buying?



I had heard that explorer's were vulnerable to roll over accidents. is this true of t he ST?

Number one, you are in the Swap and Sell section. You will not get too many posts here as this is where we come to buy and sell items.



But yes, the Trac is a great vehicle. I have owned to of them. All SUV's and SUT's are more prone to roll overs. It has to do with the elevated center of gravity and what not. I have put over 150,000 miles on my two Tracs and never came any where near to rolling either one of them.



If you buy it replace the shocks. The Ford shocks are very poor at best.



And buy a EE Sway bar. This is a heavier sway bar then the OEM bar and make a HUGE difference with how the Trac handles.



If you head on over to the normal posting board you can do a search on "shocks" and "Sway Bar" and you will have TONS to read about....

hi coastiejoe. i seen your post to todd on where to go to get more advice on buying a ST. you told him to go to the normal post board. now where would i find it. im kinda new to the site too. new as of kinda 7mos. so far. and it helped me out alot, finding out info.on my sport trac. could you let me know. thanks alot.
