adrenalin radio soundless

Hey has anyone had an issue with the pioneer system not having ANY sound?

The radio seems to be working fine. But i have no audio.

All the fuses look good. Every thing seems fine

I have a 2004 Adrenalin.

Had sound sunday.

didnt drive it monday

Tried it today and nothing!!!!

I believe the Pioneer systems had RCA preamp output. Is that correct? It sounds like the IC's have gone out. This is a part on the motherboard of the car stereo. Usually not a cheap fix. If your radio has preamp output, then you can buy a small amp and hook it up to your stereo. It might be time to invest in a new radio.

If the 2004 Adrenalin head unit is the same as 2005, then there are actually NO RCA outputs on it, but the harness is a low-level signal (RCA spec voltages). In other words if you were to put an aftermarket head unit in, you would want to use one with RCA pre-outs to work with the rest of the system. And this would require soldering on some RCA connectors onto the aftermarket adapter harness that you would have to buy.



But you don't want to buy an aftermarket head unit, you want to buy my barely used 2005 Adrenalin head unit for $100 shipped!



Or make me an offer, I'm not sure what these things go for.

Im going to pull the unit out today and see what i can find...

I hope its is something stupid...

Ill let you all know what happens...

If the unit is bad... maybe interested in the yours shawn...

OK well i took everything out and looked over wiring and fuses and everything. even came across a wiring diagram of the 04 adrenalin. Nothing all looks good. I can tell if the AMP is getting power or not. I am assuming it is. But is it on.... Dont know...

The radio looks fine i opened it up and looked to make sure i didnt see any burning or visibal damage.



Im at a loss.



1) The outputs are all bad. ( Hard to believe but you never know )

2) My AMP blew! ( Makes the most sense to me )



Any more ideas?

I might just call ford today and get it in to be looked at atleast.
