I have a blue that is just now 2 yrs. old. I love a female but am woundering about a male and would like to know about the difference between them. I got her for the not being able to pee on the tires. Just woundering.

Most male dogs once neutered do not mark their territory, Proper training helps also...

Rachel's mom used to bread them,,,,, She said the females are more calm and not as protective, and seemed to be more loving, The males made better show dogs...

I have a Great Dane/Lab mix that I got from the SPCA last year when he was 2 1/2. He is very gentle - I think the most dangerous things about them are their tails, which tend to sweep everything off tables. Danes are also "leaners" so be prepared to keep a sturdy stance around them. He also stretches out to pee, not hike. A lot of big male dogs do that.

Good luck with whatever you get - they are great dogs.

Hey Todd,

did Rachels's mom say how they tasted "bread"ed??

HO,

had a male Dane long long time ago. Great dog and great with kids too and like Todd's gal's Mom eluded to, he was very protective. Training, training, training. That's all there is to it - male or female.
