Umm, I went with some people to see it, unfortunately, due to the large amounts of alcohol consumed before the movie, I only remember the opening fight scene and the credits...(I wasn't driving BTW)



edit: my roommate is downloading it right now, so we'll probably watch it again tonight or tomorrow.

Loved the first one...and the werewolves look a lot cooler in the second from what I've seen of the previews.Oh yeah, and Kate Beckinsale is hot. :wub:

What was cool about the first one was that the Lycans were animatronic instead of CG. I prefer that. That's what I really liked about the Dukes of Hazzard movie. All the stunts and jumps were real.



And to continue the trend and overstate the obvious, KATE BECKINSALE IS HOT!!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub:

I felt that it was done very sloppy. Editing kinda was screwed up in places, not to mention the fact that characters were in one shot together and in the next separated across a room (or cavern in this case). Oh yeah, and theirs nothing like continuity goofs, but who here can crash a truck into a wall, bash the windows and rip the wheels off and in the next second be back to pre-wreck?



The direction was okay at best, there wasn't much "character" in the actors to make me like them or hate them. I found myself just bored.



The miniature sets (ship, dock, castle...ect) looked cheap and "B" movie finished (the boat was sailing through water that had drops the size of a scaled person (or car).



I thought the CGI was standard grade as well...



All in all, I would give is an average rating. 5/10.



NOW THE SILENT HILL TRAILER WAS AWESOME (though it had CGI problems--- but it has months to go so I can see improvement).

I just got back from seeing Underworld. I thought it was really good. I went in with low expectations, figuring the sequel would be sub-par (par being the first movie... it was good, but not great itself), and was very plesantly surprised to be wrong. This movie had an even better story, and really worked in all elements from the first movie well. And yes, Kate is a cutie.



Silent Hill looks like another contrived horror flick to me. I'll pass.

I doubt it. It is based off the popular video game series (which is awesome). I know that there hasn't really been a game to film adaptation that totally lives up to the game, but SH looks, sounds (same composer as games), and follows a similar story as the video game.



I can not wait.
