Right after y'all shoot somebody in your house, you best shoot your computer. Because some Prosecutor/Plaintiff's Attorney is really going to love the post. In some states the posts are enough to revoke a permit.

It serves no purpose to say you have or don't have a carry permit.

It serves no purpose to say what you will do or won't do in a given situation.

It serves no purpose to threaten anyone with physical harm.

It serves no purpose to tell someone where you keep weapons.

Clay - for fun take a copy of the complete post to you class instructors and see what they say.

Very good red,and clay your mindset comment is drop dead right on,are some very dangerous people legally carrying guns, sort of like toys.

Redfish,

Very well said and you did not have to insult or offend anyone in saying it...Good job!

This thread was only to post my appology to Caymen...not to start another Argument Thread!

Redfish, I agree with you second two points but not your first two.

I often tell people I have a CCW and encourage people to get one. The CCW classes mostly focus on the laws regarding ownership and use. That's my purpose and I think it is a pretty good one.

I also often tell people what I would do in certain situations. My recent example being what I would do if I heard shooting in my local mall. I would find an exit and high tail it out of there. My goal (purpose) is to show that all folks who carry are not itching to get into a gun fight.

I totally agree in the threats and telling people how many and where you keep them. Although technically I tell people I carry all of the time, so I guess I am telling folks were I keep one.

Todd, you are totally right. Not only to not delete what folks write but that it will come back to get them. If Cayman is ever unfortunate enough to wound or kill someone and there is any question as to the legality of it his bravido here won't help. And not just criminally but in a civil trail as well.

In our CCW they warned you that 'shooting someone is expensive'. Even if you are in the right you may spend thousands defending yourself. No need to make it any more difficult on yourself.

I hope to God I never have to stop someone.

From Unforgiven: "It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have."

This is very difficult for me but let me say this..................

This is NOT something you ever want to do. When your so-called friends are cheering you on and telling you "how cool is that" your guts will be tearing you apart

When you are cleared and I hope you will be, you will never, never stop feeling the pain and wondering if you could have done something, anything differently. You will second guess yourself for the rest of your life.

I am not suggesting you don't protect yourself and the people you love. I am suggesting that the guy laying dead on the floor has people who love him too. He brought himself to this place and you won. Will you feel more like a man? Will you cheer yourself on?

Ask yourself.

Gerry
