One of my college buddies posted this craigslist ad today. If this pertains to you, please let me know before him.

There has been a preacher stating this and it has been in the news recently. I like the way he thinks (my friend, not the preacher).

That's hilarious.

Almost as funny as this Harold Camping guy, the aforementioned preacher "predicting" the Rapture is this coming Saturday, May 21st 2011, making such a prediction. As has been said to every predictor of the Rapture date who uses Biblical evidence as the basis of their predictions, Matthew 24:36. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (NIV)

Just in case that was missed, the Bible repeats that in Mark 13:32. Surely someone who scoured the Bible for decades would have seen these. :banghead::bwahaha:

:bwahaha:

I can't help but think of the stupid failed (ie:survivors) Kamikaze pilots in World War 2 when I think of people selling all of their possessions in preparation for an imminent departure from their corporeal existence.

That's the guy this is in reference to. I didn't remember his name. Thanks, KL.

He predicted this in 1994 and was wrong. This will be no different. What I find sad is that a nutjob like this is pulling at the hearts of those that follow him.

Tom

Not to worry. I had a rapture once. Very painful. Got it operated on. They superglued me back together and now I am feeling much better.

:bwahaha:

This whole thing reminds me of February 1988, and the guy that wrote the pamphlet "88 Reasons the Rapture Will Be in '88!"

My thoughts are. Everytime someone captures the limelight about rapture prediction. Even if that is the day God chose. God will postpone it just to proove that man is not all knowing. There is no secret code in the bible. If there was Christ would have never said, even he doesnt know.

Iam a Christian but these types of things are non-sense. It makes the Christian church look bad. The church I left 7yrs ago, was making the congregation think everyone could be a phrophet. The devil was behind every door. Way off target. Ex-wife still goes there. I know my changing churches was, an unspoken part of my divorce. Im not a fool or a pupet.

It should have already started on the other side of the dateline. Nothing in the news this evening.....

My church teaches the rapture and I believe in it, yet until last night this was the first I heard that May 21st was some special day. Not that many people listen to Harold Camping's Radio Stations. I do know every day we are one day closer to Christ's coming for His Elect and I am sure it will catch everyone by surprise.

Sorry Eddie about your divorce, I know divorce sucks. Keep the faith dude. :eek:nline:

At first I thought it said: Are you going to be Ruptured? I hope not!

If today is the day the earth will end, did anybody notice a time? I have some errands to run, and didn't know if I should bother filling up the gas tank? :bwahaha:

4 hours and 15 minutes until show time in the Eastern Time Zone.

I guarentee that moron's followers will continue to follow him after nothing happens.

Tom

Caymen,

I guarentee that moron's followers will continue to follow him after nothing happens.

That was easy to guarantee since the news reported that this same moron made the same prediction back in 1986 and he probably has most of his same followers. What's odd is that he makes no apologie for missing the mark back in 1986, and claims if the world does not end today, he will predict another date in the future. I understand he paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to put up billboards to warn people the world was ending today.

That's why I don't like religious finatics who think they know something nobody else knows, or that God has told him when the world is going to end, etc. That allows him to manipulate people who think he may have some special power or connection to God?:banghead:

Rich L,,Amen to that. As a Christian myself. I refuse any church where the pastor turns people into puppets. A pastor is there to teach and help you have a better understanding. Not lead you by the nose. Not to give you his personal understanding and make predictions.

Pastors will make mistakes, but this guy is off base. That is why a Christian should open their Bible and read and study, for themselves. When they dont, they are more apt to follow cults, that claim to be Christians.

Did you feel it. Right at 6PM. The world ended. We have been transfered to a Parallel Universe in another bubble. Don't believe it go outside look at the grass, its a little longer. Feel a little older don't you?

For all you non believers, just read "Theory of Parallel Universe for Dummies" and "String Theory for Dummies"

On the INTERNET.

Update. Missing one goldfish, a sock from the drier that was running at 6, and my glasses.

I don't believe in the fire and brimstone return of Christ. I think he's coming back quietly. He'll take a job as a bartender in a little blue collar bar in Brooklyn, NY and lay low for a few weeks.
