Yeah. One can voice opposition to their country's policies without giving support to the enemy. That is a lesson that would be well learned here by many.

We have freedom of speech, on the other hand there is a crime called treason in the U.S. also, of which the govt has become too much of a wuss to prosecute anyone for. Regardless of who is in the White House, the govt itself has become largely populated by liberals who have an agenda for political correctness (amongst others)....or else they wouldn't BE in government. S'all right, the terrorists would gleefully saw their heads off just as well as they would a right-winger like me. Maybe at some point that realization will sink in, and maybe not.

I have yet to meet anyone who was in favor of 9/11. When I do, they better pray that were not alone together. My step-father told me a story once of what he did to a flag burner when he get back from Vietnam. Let's just say I ALMOST felt sorry for the flag burner.

This is just further proof that the threat to our way of life is living right next door, not in Afghanistan or Iraq. This is the price we pay for decades of unhindered immigration and poor scrutiny of who we let into our country. I still believe in the motto: "America...love it or leave it"! and think anyone who expresses support or praise for these animals should be deported or executed immediately, especially when 75% of them are living in our country as "guests" taking advantage of our generosity and hard-spent tax money. Rememeber what we did to the Japanese in California after Pearl Harbor? That was a great plan and it worked. Never had a problem with the Japanese since. I laud PM Tony Blair for his motion to start sending the wackos in his country back to their wonderful third-world $#!t-holes.

The bleeding hearts and ultra-politically correct liberals are handing the terrorists the keys to our front door and are setting the stage for the next 9/11 on our home soil. Every time I hear about out-rage against "racial profiling' for middle-easterners, I'm reminded of how naive and forgetful American's truely are. Where were these people 3 or 4 years ago when the war in Afghanistan was still fresh and everyone had a "support the Troops" sticker or American flag on their truck? Have they forgotten that, YES, in fact these people (young, poor, male middle-easterners) like to blow stuff up? Does anyone realize that we are still fighting a damn war in Afghanistan? If the combat-boot fits, wear it!

I know I'm ranting here, but I've paid my dues in full. I totally agree with what JohnyO said. These fools in Washington think they are on some noble self-righteous crusade to make everyone get along and respect eachother's views and feelings. They want to protect foreigners for American xenophobia (fear of foreigners). What they've failed to realize is that these extremist pr!cks could care less about that, and simply want to kill some infidels. Osama is laughing at Washington even as you read this. Welcome to the war without end. Welcome to the new world order.

Burger King nation we live in. Want quick, convenient, and cheap. Paying my dues now (17 yrs military) but it's so disheartening the lack of nationalism that goes on when things aren't over quickly. Sure the fervor goes for a short time, but this is the most difficult type of combatant we've faced (urban, guerrilla type tactics) on another soil and I wholeheartedly agree ... the worst enemy is right next door.

I think people started to loose their nationalism when the chimp said...opps, I guess there aren't WMDs there afterall!

I had a neighbor kid (17) ask me if I was former military, because I fly the Stars and Bars on my house, and have stickers on my cars.

I laughed, and told him no, that I am an American, and I fly the flag to show my support of our troops and to support continuing our way of life. You would be surprised at the rest of the questions this kid asked me after that. Needless to say, once we finished our conversation, I am sure he went home and actually did some reading.

I can truthfully say I saw the lights come on in his eyes. Gotta love that.

On the treason issue, we need to do the same thing that the Brits are doing. Whether most realize it or not, they have a lower violent crime rate, hell, lower crime rate total!!!

Nice work, WFoy. Remember, the big demand for US flags after 9/11, stores couldn't keep up. The news lauded the patriotism but I just remember thinking "Why didn't those jokers already have flags?". Wasn't our country and it's veterans worth this small measure of respect prior to 9/11?

Anyway, here's a link to a tragic story. It's nationalism, Kentucky-style.

Opposing a US-war within the boundaries of the US is not new. Rev War, 1812, The Civil War, Span-Am, WWI, WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, et al have had their civil and political opposition.

What I don't understand is the lengths that people will take to voice their opinion. Equating our own military as nothing more than a modern-day version of the Third Reich. Comparing our president to Adolph Hitler?

How about the nut-job idiots who spew non-sense from their lips to the brain-dead left who consume this drivel, cancelling their own abilities to reason this as nonsense...

Harry Belafonte - Remarks which were not made from a podium but in response to an interviewer's question, whether high-level positions by blacks in George W. Bush's administration isn't proof that he cares about civil rights?

"Hitler had a lot of Jews high up in the hierarchy of the Third Reich. Color does not necessarily denote quality, content or value. If a black man is a tyrant, he's first and foremost a tyrant. Then he incidentally is black. Bush is a tyrant. And if he gathers around him black tyrants, then they all have to be treated as they are being treated."

Fact - Hitler had No Jews in his beloved Third Reich as noted by the Holocaust Institute.

This unsupported rhetoric is nonsensical. It is far easier to say, Bush Lied or the chimp says then it is to attempt to validate with fact-based thought. We all know the same idiotic/moronic droning drivel, "Where's the WMD? Bush Lied!" Instead of looking directly at the facts that every Bush opponent who, only since Bush was elected in 2000, were ready to act on the same intel that Bush acted on.

The left (and some on the right) doesn't want to think past the political wrangling and see what is really going on. This is really a power struggle. Not for the good of the American people. Only for the good of constituents. Big money backs both sides.

At least with Bush, we aren't getting some moving-target-story. He is not a polished Hollywood-type who is primarily focused on his own image. Yes, he has his own big-money ties, but who ascends to the Presidency without them?

If anyone who uses more than 3 cells of their brain can recall, this war was not about WMD. It was not about revenge. It was about taking a stand and holding people accountable. The UN past 14 resolutions over a decade to get Saddam to comply. Instead of taking or supporting any action against Hussien, they decided to pass another resolution. All the while, subverting the resolutions by funneling money and weapons into Iraq (Kofi is days away from being indicted).

Anyone who can't make a connection between radical islam (they are all radical in my book, btw), Iraq, and terrorism is blinded by liberalism. Hitler never killed any jews and there is no credible link between him and the systematic destruction of a race of people. That was just some fun-loving sorts who happened to wear the uniform of the Thrid Reich. If you asked any white supremacist, they'd tell you that the holocaust never happened. It is merely a story fabricated by Hollywood Jews to gain position and status.

To get back to my original thought, it is just fine to oppose war and your country's involvement in it. But, don't fall prey to the non-thinkers of this country. Take a stand on facts and reality. Not some diversionary tactic used to occupy your numb brain while your freedom and way of life are stolen out from under your nose.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

It's refreshing to see that I'm not the only one who feels so vehemently about this stuff.

Like KenStewart2005, I'm also an active duty serviceman. I've been serving since '95. I find the lack of resolve that many American's are showing now disheartening and disgusting. No one wants a war, least of all a soldier, but let's not forget that THEY (radical Islamic psychophants) attacked us first. I think America has lost the will to fight for a worth-while cause, like we once had back in the '20s and '40s. What the hell are universities teaching our students these days?

Main-stream America needs to face reality: most of the world is poor, underfed, and envious of what we have. They hate America because they have been brain-washed by wacko fundamentalists since they were children to believe that America is the devil. Mean-while, Joe-blow America sits at home, watching reality-shows and is more concerned with the NBA play-offs than the safety of his family and neighborhood. He is oblivious to the threat these people pose to the stability of our nation. If they don't have a family-member or someone close to them in the service, then they aren't concerned with the war. So long as they have reasonable gas prices at the pump, they are happy.

Everytime I hear about some unfortunate mother, like Sandy Sheehan (mother who lost her son in Iraq) who blame the president for "murdering" her son and demand the withdrawl of US forces from both fronts, I just get out-raged. I mean, what did she expect her son was training for when he joined the service? I'm sympathetic to her loss and am truely sorry that she lost her son. However, I don't think these people are aware of the discredit and shame they bring to the memories of their lost love-ones by making these demands and questioning the president. How would America look if we just quit and pulled everyone home? The president would look like a chump in the international community. We still have to capture Osama. I'm in Afghanistan NOW and was in Iraq from March 2003-Feb 2004, and can tell you that the day the last American leaves either country, the bad-guys are going to have a hey-day. If we pull out anytime soon, all of the dead soldiers, marines, airmen and sailors will have died for naught. All the work we have accomplished will be quickly destroyed.

And as for these parents and schools which discourage young people from joining the service, or those who bar schools from recruiters and stage demonstrations in front of recruiting stations: Who do these people think they are? What makes their child so much better or precious than everyone else's that they can't serve? When I hear of this happening, I just think they are basically telling the parents of service members that, "My son or daughter is more important than yours. It's ok for your son to risk his life, but my Johny is too important to sacrifice for the safety of the American people. I love America, but I'm not willing to make any sacrifices for it." It's a real kick in the junk if you ask me. What would happen to America if everyone took this approach? We would have to have a mandatory draft, because we wouldn't have a volunteer service anymore. As a result, we'd also have a much less efficient and dedicated fighting force. Conscript armies SUCK! The death toll continues to climb each week, but when compared to other conflicts, such as the Viet Nam war, the casualties we've sustained are minimal compared to the tens of thousands lost in other engagements.

Anyways, I think it's just sad that so many have already forgotten the lesson we learned on 9/11. I agree that the President may not be the most honest guy. He and his staff are probably making considerable amounts of money off of the stock they have invested in defense industries. This war could probably be drawing to an end if our leaders really wanted it to. Despite his faults and the lack of r
