Outside temp this morning was 45. Left home with heater on in my '01 ST. Started getting cozy, so turned heat down...kept getting hotter, so turned AC on...hot, hot air was coming out of AC vents, couldn't get any cold air from any mode on the climate control dial, it was full HOT!!!! Finally had to open windows to cool down. Any ideas??????

Thanks,

Bill

I had the temp knob strip out on a Buick Regal one time. I would turn it to cold and it would blow hot. Thought the AC was shot. Turned out I was only turning the knob, not the stem of the rheostat. Pulled the knob off and turned the stem and everything went cool.

you probably have a vacuum leak. check the hoses under the hood, i had one come off on the passenger side of the engine once. the system defaults to hot upon loss of vacuum...

I also had a problem with a plenum under the dash in front of the passenger seat, that's what I'm told anyways. Replaced, and it all works.
