Cargo Capacity

We are looking at purchasing an ST since here in Denver the dealers really want to get the last of the 2005's off the lot before the 2007 arrive in the summer. One question we can't seem to find the answer to is what is the capcity of the bed. I am assuming it is something less than the Ranger but I would like to know for sure.

Aproxamatly 27 to 30 cu.ft. I would have to find my brochure.



The dealership should have that info..sounds like a lazy saleman or a dufus sales rep, that used to be a stocker at walmart...:lol:

The bed itself holds 29.6 cubic feet of cargo, which is about 3 cubic feet less than the cargo bay behind the rear seats of a regular Ford Explorer. Optional on the Sport Trac is a cargo cage bed extender which increases the bed space by 22.6 additional cubic feet of space. In addition, you can fold the 60/40 rear seats to accommodate still more cargo

don't wan't to start a pi$$in contest, and I figure your numbers probably came from a brochure (?) but: If the cage is less than half the size of the bed (lengthwise) and does not have squared corners utilizing the entire tail gate, is not as high as the bed - how can it possibly increase cargo space by 2/3s? Somethin' ain't right.
