It must be the name "Class Action Lawsuit" that gets people all excited. It sounds so big. So intimidating. So "Get rich quick".

Fix the Damn ball joints yourself. If you don't know how, come to my house and I will show you. You live in the NE. The roads suck. Welcome to life.

When I first was lurking on this site there was a lawyer person who was always trying to get class action lawsuits going with stuff like 'my bed fell of my ST" etc. I believe they were banned, and this persons rants sound a whole lot like banned persons 'class action' suits.

This is a fairly new member (as of Tuesday, yes, of this week) and so far both of his posts

have been less than pleasant.........

One of the Class action lawsuits I was involved in was the old Kodak instant print camera. In the mid-late 1970's Kodak made and sold a line of instant print cameras similar to Polaroid's.

Kodak got sued by Polaroid for patent infringement regarding the instant print technology. Kodak was ordered to stop making instant pring print film thus rendering all Kodak instant print cameras useless. Someone started a class action lawsuit against Kodak for selling the instant print cameras and now they were not able to provide film for the cameras. Kodak lost that lawsuit also and was ordered to pay $20 to anyone who still had their Kodak instant print camera.

It was announced on TV that you were supposed to peel off the model label from the front of the camera and mail that to an address at Kodak with a self addressed, stamped envelope. I did that and never heard from them. Many months later I finally called Kodak regarding the class action lawsuit and the refunds that were due. They said that someone else filed a class action lawsuit claiming that the $20 Kodak agreed to pay was not enough money, so they stopped paying the refunds until this new lawsuit was settled.

Needless to say, that was about 20 years ago I have yet to receive my $20 refund. Maybe I should start a class action lawsuit claiming that Kodak should pay interest on all the money they did not pay out yet!

funny...I got 2X's $12 coupons from Starwood (Westin) Resorts today.

I have replaced (had replaced) the ball joits twice now in 68,000 miles and are making noise again, but the Michelins are doing fine. In an odd sort of way I hope the best for you vs. the man.

I got $13 from the RIAA back in '04 I believe it was. After I bought thousands of dollars of CDs; I won't do it again.
