UPDATE: I think I found the puss caterpillar that I let go. It seems that it got caught by cobwebs and is trapped. Otherwise it is about to go into a cocoon or something. It's still alive and moving on the inside. When I blew at it, it balled up again.

Also saw this insect around the corner. I thought it looked interesting. My shed seems to be a big attraction for cocoons and insects.
I once found a small yellow-jacket hornet nest under a table. When I knocked it off (had to clean the table) and broke it up, I could see a couple of grubs and lots and lots of spiders stashed in chambers. I mean it was packed with spiders! Eeriest thing I ever saw.
I Googled it of course and found that certain species of hornets collect spiders and paralyze them (to keep fresh) for their young to eat after larval stage. It's crazy to think that all those poor spiders stashed in the chambers were still alive just waiting to be eaten. Sucks to be in that food chain.
Got to love the interesting stuff people post. Never knew these things existed. Didn't quite understand that youtube video though. That was a puss caterpillar larva in her neck? What was up with the skin over it?
The skin just looked like it was a skin graft or something. Guess mabye before the part we see is a part where the doc starts to peel off the skin. Just thought it was odd the doc just reached up and pull off all that skin.
