I feed my girls dry food. Occasionally, like during the holidays, or when we have leftover drippings from a roast or something, we will sprinkle it over their food. Those two Chihuahuas love it! You should see them lap it up. It's hysterical!

My dad's old K-9 dog, a german shepherd, got only dry. He made it to 12.

Used to feed our pug wet, dry and in-between stuff as well. He lived to be 14.

Our current dog, a golden retriever-based mutt, gets only dry. She's 9 and still healthy.

I'm not sure it really matters. Just go with a quality brand that your dog likes. (As long as there are no allergies or other dietary restrictions to consider.)

thanks everyone. :D

i posted this question as with greyhounds everyone pushes dry food because of their dental issues. we had our greyhouds teeth cleaned and scaled in january and the vet said his teeth were in very good shape.

then i heard that the dry food was more processed and fillers added than wet food.

i guess we will stick with the dry and add wet as a compliment .

btw, jerry, good pic :lol::lol:
