Did a little shopping

Tires - 265/75R16s Americus ATRs (Walmart.com made in Taiwan) 1st hurdle passed, they balanced fine. They're a 50k tire and they were on sale, so for the price which was over half less of what a BFG AT was I thought I'd give Wally a try. Aside from the time it took they (Walmart) did a lot of extra little details compared to the Discount or Les Schwab do. Cleaned mating surfaces, anti-seized the studs, cleaned the rim edge for weights, and had a 2nd person re-check the torque.

I put some highway miles on them and they are quiet on the freeway and a low rumble on the streets. Went to the j/y and picked up the overhead console and mirror.

I got the overhead console because on mine the film circuit ripped when I tried to replace the bulbs in it.

Those tires look great!! I'll have to check Walmart and Sam's when I'm ready to change mine. Found tires at Sam's for my son's XB at a $75 savings over Walmart and almost $175 over Discount.

Spacers installed! Rubbing on RR is now gone. 👍 It really wasn't much of rubbing, it would only do it on a turn to get the truck to lean.

I probably could have looped a piece of wire to pull the plastic shield out of the way but didn't want to go that route.

So, last weekend... actually the weekend before that I started the driver side body mounts, not sure why I had such a difficult time. But the mounts just weren't in the mood to play along, and it was chilly out. I got all the old mounts out and installed the uppers and the wife all of a sudden had a honey-do list. Figures, fine time for that. So, I had to stop on the truck and do her "keep me busy jobs". Well, back to last weekend I actually got the lowers installed and all tight. I was too cold for my skinny butt to do any more than that. I'll do the passenger side in a couple of weeks. Nothing difficult about it, just lying on your back and work under a vehicle is never fun IMO.

I did notice my dr. door jamb switch, which inside the door on the lock assembly, is bad. No lights come on when that door opens. Not sure why I didn't notice this before. Order a new switch and it came last week so I just may do that this weekend.
