Hey guys.... I have not been in th eback of the truck in over a month and opened it up the other to see water sitting in the bed.

Is it normal for back to collect water inside? Or should the Tonneau seal pretty good?

One thing I have noticed the is the right side latch on the Cover has a hard time closing and sometimes doesn't... Is it easy to line this up or should I take it back to Ford since my unit is still under warranty for another 10,000km?

Thanks Guys!

Cheers

Mine allows a LOT of dust in, so it's certainly not forming a great seal. However, the water could be coming from the drainage holes in the bottom of the bed, you might want to plug them up, then run through a car wash or something to see if the leaks are coming from the top, around the seal or up from the bottom, through the bed.

I'm not sure that the seal was designed to be air/water tight to begin with, so getting water in there might not be covered under your vehicle's warranty. I don't recall NEARLY as much dust in there when the truck was newer, so it is getting worse with age. Your only likely alternative is to get an aftermarket cover which does offer a water/air tight seal.

All four brackets are adjustable. Simply loosen the bolts and you will see the bracket will move around. You need to keep the bracket low enough that it compresses the gasket to help seal out water/dust.

The center pins are adjustable to as far as up and down goes....

Some of the OEM tonneau covers leak from the center hinge, like mine did. The fix is to drill out all the center rivets, place silicone along the rubber seal, and replace the rivets with nuts & bolts.

I know its not leaking from the Middle Seam.

So I am thinking its more that the Latchs are not pulling it down tight enough...

So is it fairly easy to adjust the latchs?
