Bud,
I went to the "Cheesburger Bobbies" off Medlock Bridge my last trip to Atlanta. At least I think that was the name of it. Their sweet potato fries are KILLER!
Actually, a little better, overall, than "Five Guys", especially since they have whole wheat buns as a option, and as I said, sweet potato fries.
All,
Regarding the question: "what is Five Guys like?"
Five Guys" is more like a traditional mom and pop burger place that only serves burgers, or I should say is famous for burgers. You walk in. There are a few different types (cheese, or bacon cheese), and a couple of different sizes (1/3 lb, 1/4 lb), and a ton of different toppings (sauteed onions, mushrooms, and the others you would expect), and you order your size, your toppings, and fries, and a drink. You get a number, and you eat free, supplied peanuts that you shell yourself while waiting.
When your number is called, you go up, grab your brown sack, take it back and sit and eat, or take it out the door.
Not much to the experience other than that. It's about the food.
And, yes, there is vinegar for the fries. A requirement for any establishment that serves fresh-cut french fries...which these are.
Sorry if I misrepresented the experience...have only been once.
