My front tires squeal while cornering. Tire pressure is fine, but it's almost time for tires. Also when 4x4 is engaged the truck does not want to turn, seems like something is dragging. Any suggestions before I head to the shop. Truck is a 2002. Thanks

Normal:

1) Squealing as your cornering is the sound of the outside edge of the tire sliding as your turning. The angle is so sharp that it is outside edge is trying to catch the road for traction.

2) While in 4x4 the wheels are fighting each other for Equal turning. Turn your wheel to the extreme and it will groan and move across the ground strangly. You dont want to keep the ST in 4x4 while on the street. Snow, Mud Neighbors Yard = Yes, but on the pavement it will not be a fun ride.

^^Agree^^. Our Tracs don't have a differential in the transfer case, so the front end gets what the rear end gets, which you feel when its binding under the pressure of a medium/heavy turn.
