About 3 mi from home the low fuel chime & light came on. The next morning I made it about 200' before it stalled, had to add gas from the can before it would start. Kinda lucky it didn't happen elsewhere , guess my fuel gauge is a bit optimistic!
 
When the low fuel light comes on. You have 2 or less gallons left.

On the last fill up. If you left the trac running. The gauge will read wrong until the next fillup, motor off.
 
That's the one thing I dislike about the truck. All the other ford vehicles we have a fuel gauge that doesn't move unlike the truck. It always moves the most under a quarter tank
