Fuel Prices Up Up and Away!

I have a mixture that gets great mileage:



I use 11 gallons of acetone, 5 gallons of Unleaded, and 7 gallons of diesel in my Trac.



That way the unleaded burns off, the acetone burns a hole in the fuel system, the diesel drains out, the Trac doesn't need anymore gas. Problem solventd.

Here in Buffalo, diesel is running about $0.15 to $0.20 higher. Let's do a little math:

The ST gets 15 mpg city @ $2.50 / gallon = $0.167 per mile



If a diesel ST could get 20 mpg in the city, the break even point would be $3.34 / gallon for diesel.



Of course this ignores the additional price for a diesel powered Sport Trac.
