Gauge visibility

Hello,



My father in-law has a 2010 sport trac and has difficulty seeing the green on white gauges during certain times during the daylight, particularly in the sun.



Does anyone know of way to improve the lighting, color, contrast, etc? I've done a lot of googling and haven't found much.

If he can't see the gauges, can he see the road and be safe? spoken from a physician.
