Gen 2 Headlight switch removal?

I need to pull the headlight switch on my 2010 Limited to replace the dash light that lights up the area around the switch. It looks like I ought to be able to remove the switch by just popping the little square area around it-- or do I need to pull the entire dash panel on the driver's side? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I'd replace the bulb with an LED. the filament bulb gets too hot for how the housing is designed..

mine is burnt out too, and i will be replacing it with this LED: Neo - Wedge Tall LED Instrument Panel Bulbs, about half way down the page..
