xD excellent handgun, i think it has been said before on the forum but you should try and find

a range in your area that rents firearms, then you can try out what you are lookng at before buying.

We had and invasion here about 2 years ago, about 6 months after we moved into this house. They did not get much, some change and a few pieces of my wife's jewelry. We now have ADT monitoring and not had a problem since and as far as I know noone else in our neighborhood has had a problem. I have a Ruger P89 and have shot 1000's of rounds through it with absolutely no problems.
