It's never fun to put a dog to sleep, one of the hardest decisions. Hopefully she'll find a lot of birds where she's going!

Dogs are man's best friend. Without even sharing one word with each other, you know them better, and likewise they too, than your own spouse and children.

I too know that pain. I lost my Goldie to Cancer. I know its crazy but sometimes I can still hear her walking around the house at night and see the curtains in the front window move when I pull in the driveway. I loved my dog, she was a part of me.
