The Sport Trac once again proved it's versatility. Those who burn wood pellets for heating, know that there has been a shortage of these little compressed sawdust nuggets. Therefore, whenever I find them, which is rarely, and only 10-12 bags at a time, I tend to grab as many as I can. Wednesday while browsing the local Home Depot, I came across a lonely unmarked pallet of fifty 40- pounds bags in the corner of the garden shop. Needless to say, I packed as many as I could into "Big Blue". I filled the bed with 30 bags, and the rear seat area with 10 bags, for a total of 1600 pounds. Although the ST sagged a bit under the load, the driving difference was hardly noticeable. Love my ST!

By the way, those of you who have had problems getting the rear seatbacks to latch down, try a 400 pound load on top - problem solved!

;)

They are suppose to latch in the down positon?

I put a cord of wood in my ST. It took a little creativity in stacking and two trips to wood yard but I got it all home.

We burn pellets too, but they arent that hard to come by over here...still we buy them by the ton, and i'm able to put the entire ton in the trac in one trip, but i do space them out...some in the front passenger, some in the back seat, and and alot in the bed. works out good, not easy goin up my hill though.
