Help! -XM power wiring

I have a 2003 st.

I installed the Xm myself after xmas and just spliced off the power source on the passenger side to get juice.

I want to change it so that when I shut the truck off the XM unit will shut off. adn on when I start it.

SOmebody who has a wiring diag. help!!!

I see the huge wire harness under the consol, but have no idea which ones are switched power. could somebody take a look at the diagrams and see which one I can hook up the pos. wire to? I will probably keep the ground the same - as long as that wont pose any problems.

Take a test light ad go to the fuse box under the dash, this is the best spot...

If you don't have a light, you can get the cheep ones for about 5 bucks..

Just did the exact same thing with my new '05 ST. Used the cigarette lighter plug and socket that came with the unit. That way I still have the 2 amp fuse protection. Ran it under the dash past the steering column. Grounded it on the large bolt that fits in the door frame (there's 2 of them there and they look like they hold in the dash.) Hooked the positive to the wire coming off the fuse block for #36 fuse. It's unused, but the line is hot when the ignition is on. The XM turns on/off with the ignition, but there is about a 2-3 second lag to turn on. Been working good for 3 weeks and I don't get any feedback through the speakers.

under menu you should have a setting for auto on

I have mine set to on and it turns off when I turn the truck off every time.:blink:

I do hav ethe auto on feature, but the power point is always hot, so I dont see how it could know to turn on/off.

I would rather not have to go all the way back to the fuse box, but I am sure that one of the leads in that harness are switched, so I would rather do the connection there.

These things draw so little power that i am not concerned with double fuses, but it couldnt hurt.

I check that diagram.

I assume that I can tap into the Aceessory01 wire to have a switched lead?
