I'm about to buy the blacked-out headlights and I figure that this is a good time to upgrade to HID. I'm pretty sure that the fog lights use H3, so I'll be upgrading those as well.

My question, however, is what I need to get for the head lights. I know they use a 9007 bulb, but what about high-beam function? Do I need bi-xenon 9007 HIDs?

Thanks

Also, is it pretty easy to remove/install the aftermarket headlights?

If you want to keep your hi-beams, yes bi-xenon is what you need. However, HID lights are bright enough that you won't need your hi-beams. You can also get HID for the fog lights.

The removal is fairly easy, remove the sidemarkers with the screw at the top, next pull up the (2) levers for the headlights. Sorry I dont have pictures, there may be some pics in the manual. On my 02 I did not have to remove the passenger side, but the driver side had to be remove due the the limited space for my hand to fit.

Also do a search for HID lights.

Good Luck

Thanks. Yeah I guess I will pick up a set of H3 HIDs for the fogs and 9007 bixenons for the head lights.

I put them in both my headlights and fog lights, i would go with the 5000 color temp they are brighter, i used the bixenon but there isn't much of a difference between low and high... they are really bright, i have to drive with just the headlights in traffic and with the fogs when on side roads cause they are so bright

Don't be fooled, colour temperature has nothing to do with actual brightness of the light. More important then brightness of a light, particularly headlights, is the usefulness of the light. OEM uses 4700K HID, regardless of what vehicle they are in, as 4700K has a high CRI and produces a lot of light in the most useful wavelengths for our eyes and brain.
