Ok, I did a search and not too much out there on this. I'm looking to see if anyone has anything different than the EE hood scoop. I've seen the double ones from Lund and not to crazy about it (IMHO) and just seeing what else is out there. Also what would the difference between the ones that would mount on a Mustang? Would they fit, or just need some minor alterations? (difference in the hoods);)

Eric P has a modded Mustang scoop. It looks great! Seen it in person at the Dallas meet.

The OEM Mustang scoop would be a lot more money depending on where you get it. And it does need to be modded to fit. Eric also did a project page on it. (linked)

Here, Better than the ee one, IMO...

I here ya Racerx. I was looking on E-bay and they have used Mustang ones for like $20 plus shipping. May be the way I go. Thought one of the old (60's-70's) cobra scoops may look nice.;)

If I'm not mistaken, the EE scoop is identical to the Mustang scoop.

TrainTrac, like the name! You are correct, they are pretty much the same. I'm not sure of the difference in size. I can get one off E-bay for the Mustang for around $20-$30 instaed of the $150 from EE.

If I had it to do over again - I wouldn't.

Seriously, I love it now that I've got it, but it's too much work to modify a Mustang scoop to make it fit perfectly to the ST hood contours. I'd recommend the aftermarket route, like Explorer Express or the one Todd has. I think Todd's scoop looks better than the EE one, personally. Better tapered lines, IMO.

By the way, TrainTrac - awesome looking ST!

Stonemiser, EricP, thanks for the compliments.

I came up with the handle of TrainTrac because my five year old son loves my Sport Trac, and he is absolutely crazy about trains. I thought it was a catchy way of combining the two. Every time we walk out to the garage to get in the ST to go somewhere, he walks up and kisses the truck first. He always wants to ride in his dad's "Big Red Truck". I'm even getting personalized "Virginia Railway Heritage" special license plates soon! He'll love those.:)

Ok, I found something but it only lists 2000-2005 Explorer. Is the contour of the hood the same? Lets go Guru's, let me hear it! we are looking at $80, compared to the $150.(more in my "broke, married, whipped, beat like a dog, and balls in the freazer" budget) Looks similar to the EE one.;)

Or rather, one that'll pass the Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF)?:p
