horn trouble

having trouble with my horn or horns..sounds like a kids bike horn..i think one is broken but have not dug into it yet..

any experience out there with this problem...2001 tracn and it is just that the beep is the most quite piddly sound you have ever heard from a car horn.

The horns are in fromt of the driver's fenderwell, and get a lot of slop thrown up there. The horns on mine did the same as yours, which ended up being the connector that snaps onto the horn terminal, corroded into oblivion. a new connector and/or horn will fix it. I took the connector off and soldered the wire directly to the horn terminal, then spooged it with silicone. That was 80,000 miles ago, and it still works... To get at the horns, take the fender liner out. HTH
