Can I just rip it off or do I need the tabs to plug the holes back up?? Has anyone taken this off of theirs before?? I don't want to break anything.

Lemme know

After removing it you will have 2 holes in your bumper, and the tabs will be unusable after removing them. Some have used black screws or even chrome ones to fill the holes.

Go to the auto parts store and purchase some black body molding pins. The ones like you would find on a door panel or any other plastic molding.

Drill the rivets out (that is how mine is held on in my '05), and a very SMALL amount

of body filler CAREFULLY applied, with some LIGHT sanding and some Dupli-Color

All-In-One base coat color and clear built in, and a little polishing after all has

set and dried, and you should never be able to tell it was there!

Hope this Helps!

tracnblack...;)

Me has the right idea. Cost is about $1 and no work involved. They will look like they belong there.

Ha, Nelson, I did the same thing with my F150, I was parked right up against my buddies garbage can which had a huge rock in the bottom. When I left his house a few hours later I couldn't see the can over my hood so I put her in drive and crack. Same thing, came off fine with no scratches.

:D

I removed mine when a dog ran in front of the truck while I was driving about 50 mph.

Poor dog, at least he died instantly.

Stupid owner, maybe he will die slowly.

Still haven't had the heart to replace that tag bracket.
