I need to find some crossrails that can support a ladder

Does anyone know a good website where i can get some crossrails on my 05 trac roof so that i can carry a 24' aluminum extension ladder. the ones i see are for kayaks and canoes and i dont think they will support a heavy ladder. prefreably a pair like the ones on the roof of the pic in the link below

the ones in the image are the factory ones..

Thule, Yakama and the factory ones should hold the ladder you are talking about..

Thule and Yakuma both have add ons for the rack that will hold just about anything. 24 foot you might have to support the back with a hitch support. they can be seen in a bunch of posts.

I didnt put alot on mine.. as I color matched them.. but when I did I had the foam pipe insulation to wrap them in so it would not scratch.

Check out ebay, I got a set of roof cross bars for my '03 and their pretty sturdy. :banana:

I have the factory crossbars on my Gen 2 and carry a 24' aluminum ladder on them all the time. Part of what my company does is window cleaning. A jetski tie down on each bar and one or two bungee cords to the side rails. I put a cloth on each crossbar first but some of the paint has rubbed off anyway.

For occasional use I've found 2x4's ratchet strapped to the rails work just fine.





Now if you want it to look pretty...
