Yep, This stuff has happened at Jiffy-Lube several times in the past at nationwide locations (I think Dateline did a story about this about 3-4 years ago at numerous locations accross the US). It seems that management was/is placeing quotas on their employees to sell so much money in services and it is pushing them to sell things the customer does not need, and often they don't get anyway.

If you take your vehicle there you have to watch them every moment so you know what that did and did not do?

IMO, I find it hard to trust shops. The last run in I had. When I bought my tires @ pep-boys. The guy was setting the lift arms. He asks me where to lift it from. I told him the frame. I thought that was a dumb question. Then he starts to lift it from the rocker panels. I stoped him and he yells at me, that he cant do his job with me around. So after he got it lifted. I walked away. That was dumb on my part. They clamped my custom wheels face down and mounted tires from the backside. scarred the rims. Pep-boy had to cut me a check for more than $800.

If you know rims and tires. You can read the rim and know the tire remove and install side. In the old days of chrome reverse wheels. I myself could pull tire from the front, anyway. Though this was the rear of the rim. Just a little harder to do.

Who do you trust "Ghost Busters"....LOL
