Best wishes to your father and your family, hopefully he heals up well and in another year this will just be a memory.

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of concern, well wishes and prayers! It means a lot to me and my family. The area where he was working was being reclaimed, where they fill in an old stripping pit with dirt.

It felt weird driving his ST home from the work office the day after the accident. It was only 3 weeks ago that we spent a few hours together putting a new hood scoop on it. I'm going to make sure it's nice and clean for the day he comes back home.

I'm going to print this out for him and let him know that he better get better in time for the next national meet. Thanks again, everyone. It really means a lot!

Adam and Todd, thanks for your notes. Adam, did you use the old pits for off-roading or did you work there? Todd, you must know exactly how he felt when that truck was coming!

My best wishes for your father and his friend. Your father will hopefully heal to a full recovery. His good friend is going to have the guilt for the rest of his life.

Pat,

LaRue and I wish your dad a very speedy recovery and we will keep him and your family in our prayers. I remember how proud he was of your trac at the Lousville meet and how he spent a lot of time socializing with everyone there. The Lord was definitely looking out for him, I hope his pain is as minimal as possible.

Wow Pat, your father and family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Though I never met your father he sounds like a wonderful person.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery!!!

Hopefully the worst of it is behind him, I would imagine being trapped in the truck for 2.5 hours with broken bones would have felt like an eternity. I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

He is in good hands at the Lehigh Valley Hospital. It is one of the best in PA. Sorry to hear about what has happened. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Pat, you can't help but think that a higher power protected your father in that situation. Stay strong and keep the faith. Your family is in our prayers.

Pat, so glad your Dad is doing better. I ate breakfast with him at Louisville and really enjoyed his company. I didn't know he worked on Euclid trucks. I worked on them also along with locomotives and other heavy equipment, we could have shared a lot of stories. I saw a pickup truck that was run over with a loaded Euclid and I do not see how he survived. I certainly will be thinking about him and hope for a full fast recovery.
