Keyless Entry Remote Buttons Worn

The buttons on my keyless entry remote are worn similar to the ones in the picture.

With all the creative minds on this board, I was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to restore the lock pictures onto the buttons?

Use a White marker or pen. That should work at least for a little while.

why does it matter? we wont judge you because you buttons are worn out

I beleive they have white sharpie perm markers.

Get a new remote on Ebay as Todd suggests, if you don't want to re-program it, just swap the rubber buttons with the old one...

Who looks at the icons? Just memorize the shape. The "O" shaped one is for open. The "C" shaped one is for close.

When I first bought my truck, the dealer said remotes were 50 bucks to replace. I bought 3 on ebay for 15 bucks each, they are a snap to program.
