I'm going to my dealer *that sounds SO illegal* on Saturday to try to find me a 2007 ST. He's already told me that if they don't have what I want on the lot, then they'll make every attempt to find one for me. Besides almost $2000, body color mouldings, and color choices (I want to try to get the Orange Frost, but it's only a Limited color), what are the MAIN differences between the XLT and Limited?

The limited has a badge on the tail gate that says "Limited"

Seriously though, don't let it bother you too much. I really wanted the side mouldings and all of the options that are standard on the limited so it made sense for me to get one. If you don't care about the differences or don't like the extra price then get an XLT. I think the things you mentioned and the standard options are the biggest differences.

Here are 3 '07s. 2 Limiteds and an XLT. We checked out all three and there are many many differences between all three.

SVT Scott is on the left, mine is center, and Axel is on the right. We all live within 15 minutes of each other.

Daisy, look in my Member Library. There you will find a PDF document (2007 Ford Sport Trac Source Book) that will detail the differences, as well as available options for all 2007 STs.

I did a little research last night after I posted the message. Looks like everything I want on mine is standard on the Limited model. That's what I really want anyway, just double checking some things. This is my last vehicle for a few years, so I want to make sure I REALLY like it, so I wanted to rule out everything (I even drove a HUMMER to make sure).

I'm going to try to have my dealer locate a '07 4x4 Limited in Orange Frost . . . now, I have to figure out V8 or V6 . . . . . . .

Daisy,,,,,go with the V8,,,,,,,,milage is about the same, but the torqe/towing difference is substantial enough to spend a bit more, in my opinion,,,,,,,,depends on your needs,,,,,,,Mark

Daisy, if your dealer can't find exactly what you want and you're not in too big of a rush to get it then order it just like you want it. That's what I did and I'm totally satisfied....if you're going to spend the $$ might as well get exactly what you want.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The main reason I'm looking at an '07 instead of just ordering an '08 is because I feel unsafe in my Ford 500. It was hit back in May and just doesn't feel like the same car. Plus, the $2007 cash back would be nice too. But I already told my husband (who doesn't feel safe with me in the 500 either after driving it and riding in it), who says that he's going to make sure I get what I really want, it's already July, so 'worse case' senerio I'll just order an '08 and drive his Blazer some instead of my car all time.

I just purchased my '07 ST about 3 weeks ago and inquired about ordering one. I was told that they are no longer taking orders on '07s and that to order an '08 I would have to wait until September, and then it would be about 6 weeks for delivery, so you may want to check that before you decide to order. Depending on how quickly you would like to get it.
