I guess that it's kind of a catch 22. At first, it may be the safest place to be. But then once your car starts floating, you are at the mercy of where the flow takes you and what you hit. Plus, as you start to take on water and begin losing buoyancy, you are screwed.



I would guess I would take the first opportunity to bail out and climb something tall.
 
Anyone on this site understand Japanese? Would love to know what happened at the end, both to the driver and to the car...
 
I'm guessing the driver's not in the car, if you look at all the other cars, no one is in them so I'd imagine this driver would've bailed out before he had to bail water out!
