This year went to "The Rock Never Stops Tour" to see Cinderella, Quiet Riot, Ratt, and Firehouse. Awesome show.

Def Leppard toured this summer. Some shows, the one I wished would have come through my area was Def Leppard and Tesla. Instead, Def Leppard came with Bryan Adams. I refused to go and chance having to sit through Bryan Adams singing "Everything I do, I do it for you" and "Summer of 69".



I would have much rather listened to Def Leppard and Tesla. Two of my favorite bands.

Actually, Bryan Adams is good in concert. I saw him as the warm-up band for Journey, back when his first album was popular and almost no one had hear of him. He made Journey look like some band that plays in a bowling alley lounge.



Two songs you won't hear too much this summer: "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions, and "I'm Walkin' On Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.

Bill V. It was Great White and it was in New Jersey.

I for one do not miss any of the 80's hair bands. Could not tell any difference between one group and another. No originality or actual talent was required in those days.

Tom--I know it was definitely in Rhode Island (at least the one that I'm thinking of was in Rhode Island). Specifically in Providence. (Then again, isn't the entire state of Rhode Island made up of the city of Providence?)

It was Great White and it was in Rhode Island.



The blame was not only Great White's, bust also the owner of the bar that said it was OK to use the pyrotechnics.

My mistake. It was RI. I was getting it confused with another incident. It was Great White though. Can't actually say I had ever heard of them before then. And I will agree there are not a lot of "talented" bands around anymore but still say there were few hair bands that could be called talented either.

Provdence isn't the only city in Rhode Island. I lived in Newport for a few years as a child. There is/was a big Naval facility there.
