OK...so when most people here announce a new addition they are usually talking about the pending, or recent, birth of a child. Since our kid is now 18 and living on her own, we are celebrating what we are calling our 'empty nest toy'. She is a 2006 Four Winns Horizon 200. She has a Chevy (yes, I said ugly ‘C’ word) EFI 302 in it, with 270 horses. It is sold as a Volvo Penta engine, so at least that gets it back in the Ford family. We are going to pick her up on Saturday.
Here are some things that I found humorous about the whole deal. The boat is longer than my truck, has a bigger engine and costs more yet the payment is not even half because of how long they finance these things for. The cheap payment will allow us to pay it off sooner. Also, my hitch cover says “Remove to Tow Chevyâ€. Now I guess I will be doing so as often as possible.
Here are some pics of our new baby that were taken in the showroom. I'll post some more after we pick her up.
