Finally replaced my wife's 97 Expedition. Kids are grown up so we didn't need anything near as big plus she wanted something fun to drive. Picked up a new 2006 Toyota RAV4 the other day. Got the 265hp V6 and man does this baby move. Drives more like a sports car then an SUV. My wife loves it. Just wish she would let me drive it more.

Nice ride, Tom! Amazing that the RAV4 went from a tiny SUV with a 2.4L 4cylinder to a beefy V6 with that many horses! I bet that would blow the doors off my wife's 2006 Escape with the 200hp V6.

I like the styling, but the only thing that concerned me when I was shopping for a mini-ute was the rear tire on the back hatch. Was concerned about rearward visibility and how much damage could occur in a low-impact rear bumper hit.

Reppin The RAV4( wtf is that??? ) And Hurting The American Economy Day By Day.

Priceless.

tisk tisk tisk, I think the edge would have looked better. :)

Thanks Tom! Keep us posted on how you like it!

My wife and I looked at a RAV4 a few months ago, and we both decided right then and there that we'd replace the Liberty with a RAV4 in about a year!

Looks like my garage will have a RAV4 and a Ridgeline in another year or so at this point.

I can sense his future. I just traded my 01 St on a 2006 Nissan Frontier crew cab. Outstanding vehicle. Looked seriously at the 07 St but the cost was the determining factor. Ford dealers did not want to deal on trade. After driving the 07 St I was sold on it with the floor shifter and design. Out of frustration on $$$$, I looked at the Nissan Frontier and fell in love with it. Got all the extra's and and snappy 6cyl. for under $ 23000 and a good trade to boot. I guess I will have to leave the forum and join the Club Frontier forum. Good luck in the future:rolleyes:

Ralph Mc,

there are peopple here that would have been willing to hook you up with a X-plan PIN. You could have gotten a geat deal on a new Trac. Better then you would have been able to negotiate.
