Since politics have now been brought to the table...

Does anyone find it strange that the dem's are protesting the very same "large corps" that they themselves bailed out???

That is a laughable political analysis at best. I don't even know where to begin but I'll just play with this one sentence.

But they are very worried that their PAID-FOR Republican Senators and Congressmen (and a few Democrats) may get voted out.

Obama's administration supplied Wall Street with tons of unproductive money. Who paid for what, again?

More than a few democrats have already been voted out.

OK. What will all of this do for me?? An over educated, unemployed(have been since July 17, 2010) professional. That's all I am, in search of a job to make my life a bit more tolerable. I don't care about the Million/Billionaires, they have their own problems too. Just because 400 or something families control over 25% or so, of the wealth in this country, but pay over 50% of all taxes collected. Is it fair? I think so, the more money you make, the more bills you have to pay, as my Dad used to say. Is there inequality in this country? Sure, has been, always will be. Do I expect my wages to increase so that there is less of a difference between myself and some of these wealthy people? No.

Some of our laws do need to be changed/updated. Lets start with making it less lucrative for companies to outsource work to foreign countries. Put Americans back to work, eliminate labor unions(I'll hear about that) they served a useful purpose back in the day. Now they drive wedges between management and the workers. Reign in the military, by bringing them home to protect us and our country. Stop being so generous with "financial aid" to foreign countries. Its time to concentrate on ourselves and worry a bit less about the rest of the world.

I could go on and on about all of this, but in reality, nothing is going to drasticly change for most of us in the next 10 years or more. So suck it up, quit bitching and make yourselves available for whatever work you can find(those jobs that real Americans don't feel they have to/want to do) Do you want ketchup, salt or pepper with that? Bob :fire::fire:

Frank,

Hey Richard L you are wrong son... I think you are un informed. Thats all

First: I am not your son! I am probably old enough to be your father or grandfather, and have been around the block a few times in my life. I find your "Son" comment very disrespectful, but it does tell me a lot about you.

Second: You claim I am uninformed...so please inform me of where you get your information. I asked you to show me the evidence that the Fed, the rich, and right winged politicians are so fearful of these "Occupy Wall Street" demonstrations? I have not seen anthing that inidicates that anybody is in the least bit concerned about these demonstrations except for the reports of Police over-reacting and using excess force.

The other statement you made
All elections are decided by two groups of people: Persuadable voters who always vote, but are undecided switch hitters. This group includes lots of political independents.

Staunch voters who would vote for one Party or the other, but have to be motivated to vote.

That is simply a sum of all voters. I could just as easily say: All elections are decided by two groups of people: Those who voted, and those who didn't...I could reduce that down to: "All elections are decided by one single group of people"...Those who voted. So what was your point???

Please enlighten us with more of this great wisdom that you have aquired in your brief life time.

...Rich

Occupy Chicago protestor - Let's collapse the American government:

There is a video of him down the page. It plays and looks like it stops but the

whole video plays later. This guy makes like an $8000 - 9000 a month from a

teachers pension!

Hilarious...for all of you anti-Occupy people... Do you somehow think that the Tea Party protesters are any

different? You can find rummys and kooks anywhere... Look at the reasons I posted above.. then make your case against the movement. Chances are you really cant.

Occupy Madison shut down today because of public masturbation.

Occupy Wall Street made their point. Bravo ! Now it is just a joke and I see nothing good coming out of this any longer.

Frank,

You can find rummys and kooks anywhere

Considering the source of that statement...I must agree with you

Nothing you said in any of the above post is based on facts or evidence...Just your opinion and perhaps the opinion of a few more "Rummys and kooks"....Birds of a feather flock together.

I asked you for evidence to back up the statements you made and you have not done so. You are not going to convince me or anyone else here that what you posted is anything more that a load of BS...until your present your case with some scraps of evidence.

Tell us of the politicians or Wall Street tycoons who have said they are fearful of these demonstrations?

Nobody is arguing that there is a lot of Greed on Wall Street, but there is Greed everywhere. The financial crisis in this country was caused by Washington, DC, and it happened on G. W. Bush's Presidency but it was caused by Democrats...Just view the attached video link you will see Republicans wanting more controls on banking, Mortgages, and Fanny Mae...and you will see all the Democrates defending them and wanting to remove any controls or regulations.

The Tea Party movement made an impact in politics. This will not. There's a difference for you, Frank.

Do you somehow think that the Tea Party protesters are any

different?

Yes I do...how many Tea Party rallys turn into a weeks long occupation for starts? Tea Partiers for the most part go back to their homes and lives at the end of the day.

You can find rummys and kooks anywhere

I will have to agree with you there but IMO the kooks amoung the occupiers are a greater percentage (JMO...no stats for you) BTW, WTF is a "rummy" anyway.

" Occupy Wall Street made their point."

what point? these idiots all have their own agenda.

make some sense and don't inconvience the rest of us with your silly behavior. :fire:

From the Congressional budget office. I cant paint a clearer picture.

If you are against the Occupy movement...you must be out of touch with reality or wealthy. Thats it.

Frank,

So what do you find new and so disturbing about that report? And what does that have to do with the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators.

The report only states that between 1979 and 2007 the income of the wealthiest 1% has grown faster than any other income group. So whats new? Did you notice that everyones income grew, and that at each higher level income increased moreThat is typical of a Capitalistic society. The more money you have the more money you are likely to make. Wealthy people do not have to work for their money, they make their money work for them.

The article does make a lot of references to Redistribution of wealth which is a Socialist strategy. But it is all class war-fare. Its always finger pointing saying the poor are only poor because the rich people are not giving them any money??

You seem to be making an assumption that anyone who is wealthy is greedy or dishonest? Perhaps they are just smarter than most? There are greedy and dishonest people at all levels of income.

The problem with these Occupy Wall Street demonstrators is that they are engaging in class-warfare. They want to imply that the wealthy people are stealing money from the poor people. The wealthiest 1% do not even work, do not have jobs, are not CEOs or Bankers or necessarily Corporate Presidents. The wealthiest people make their money from their investments, not for work or cheating people who have no money?? Even Bernie Madoff did not take money from poor people (wasnt worth the effort), he stole money from other rich people who had millions to invest in his Ponsie scheme.

So your link proves nothing new or suprisingjust the same old Liberal Socialism.

Now show me your evidence of any politician or Right wing media group that is fearful of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations??

If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you were not a racist, vote for someone else in 2012 and prove you are not an Idiot !!

Rich

The poorest of our nation today have a better lifestyle than the poorest of our nation from any time in history prior to 1979. That is progress.

The evil-rich class is as ignorant a characterization as claiming all poor people are lazy.

Let's just imagine that the tax code stayed exactly as it is. Let's then pretend that everyone that made more than $500,000 a year in salary or returns on investment just donated every penny over that amount to the government. Would there be no more poor, no more hunger, no more disease, no more greed?

The argument is ridiculous and lacks any logic. You can't just decide that something feels wrong about some people being really wealthy and some being really poor, pull up some numbers that show that the obvious facts of wealth distribution are true, and then say that the obvious solution is to take money away from the unscrupulous, evil rich people and give to the deserving mistreated poor. Feelings are not facts, and I think that is where many of these misguided fools get confused.

I would love to see perfectly equal distribution of wealth. I would also love to see perfectly equal input into society. Maybe when the latter is true, the former will follow. The former can never precede the latter, though.

Frank, are you participating in the occupation or are you still too wrapped up in the pleasures of capitalism?
