Sorry guys, but I guess with all the chaos of the holidays, I forgot to update.
I went last Friday to get my Crown put back in. They took a new mold and the old crown. Sent it back to the lab and had them repair it (i guess because the base metal was still in good shape). They cemeneted it in again on Friday and so far so good. I already feel much better about this one. It is a MUCH tighter (almost painful at first) fit between the surrounding teeth. To answer Joe's question, before I didn't have any trouble with food getting caught between the teeth per se, but I was able to easily floss between the teeth. Now, with this new crown fitting, I really have to work hard to get that floss down in there, and yes, it does litterally snap down.
The important part is that I was not required to pay anything (maybe because before they even touched me I told them I refused to pay anything, so we went in with a mutual understanding). It's also sad because my dentist really made no effort to find out why it kept happening (2 times now in 6 months), so I'm going to take it upon myself to try using a mouthguard while I sleep to see if my teeth clenching is the reason. It's possibly that this tooth is the "pressure" tooth that my mouth focuses on. We'll see, but hopefully this crown will stay for even half as long as my other. Yay.
