R Shek,

Since you mentioned endeavors a couple of times, here is 'the Endeavor",

R Shek--

I agree quite heartily with what you said, but had to make a few quick notes:

--Jeff C's list is far from "the full list". It's just a handful of items that are more recognizable to the average Joe than many of the millions of other developments to have come from NASA.

--"We can dive to the deepest parts of the ocean." Actually, this is another area where we have lots still to learn. Because of the incredible water pressure, we have not been able to reach the deepest depths yet. There are potentially countless species existing down there that no man has ever encountered.

--"We can drill nearly to the center of the earth." We can electronically image a long ways down, and can predict what lies beyond that--but in terms of actual penetration, we've barely scratched the surface in our capabilities. Besides, at a certain point, you'd have to stop drilling (at least in the traditional sense), once you reach magma. :)

Bill -

Yes, you are corect. My comparisons were a little far reaching, but what I was trying to get at is we know a lot about Earth (yes, probably less than 1/10th of what we could actually learn about it), but we know probably 1/100th of space that we do about Earth.

The full list would be well more than 1500 items that are used daily, and countless others that have been spawned from these items.

Chops-

Love the picture.
