I had way too many to mention...

Where are the...

Hot Wheels and Track (Ya know, the Orange ones that your mom used to use to discipline you when you messed up, lol),

Demolition Derby Cars, that exploded when you crashed them, just put them back together and go again,

BB Gun, ahhhh, "Daisy" we got into lots of trouble with these things

G.I. Joe,

The Pet Rock,

Monopoly,

Roller Skates,

Lite Brite,

Pick-Up Sticks,

The Magic 8 Ball,

Clackers, the hand held ones that drove people crazy,

CandyLand,

Marbles,

Jacks & Ball,

Hula-Hoop,

Ouija Board,

EZ Bake Oven,

Shoot The Moon (Where you try to walk the Steel ball up hill against gravity between two rods and drop it into scoring holes)

Electric Vibrating Football game,

Skateboards,

and I could probably think of more, some deserving to be on that list, some not.

Wow they left Mystery Date off the list. That was right up there with Spirograph and Silly Putty and the Slinky back in the day.

You guys had electric toys when you were kids?

I had a branch that I made believe was a gun.

A sock used as a pupet

and a Cardboard box as a club house.

And you were thankful, right Mike?

Nothing could hold a candle to my Eagle Eye, Kung-Fu Grip G.I. Joe!

And don't forget the trusty Red Ryder BB Gun! (I didn't shoot my eye out)

Boy how times have changed when you don't even see six shooters with duel holsters to play cowboys & indians. And, to me a bike was never a toy; it was transportation. My first road bike was a Schwinn 15 speed Sierra, and I worked all summer to save for it just to have someone steel it; which was a hard lesson in life. Did I just date myself? I liked "Lincoln Logs", and the only difference now is that I want a log home. :D

I think toys are of much better quality these days. But cartoons, on the other hand, were way better back in the 80s (1900s!?). Namely, GI Joe and Transformers.

Didn't anyone ever get the 24 inch shogun warriors? You know, the big plastic robots that shot missiles (that kids swallowed) and their fists. We even had the Rodan and Godzilla to go with them.

Not sure what ever happened to them...

My toy car was a spam can lid for the car and the body of the can for my trailer.

I also had a piece of string.

And the stick I used as asword counts too. But none of them are on the "list".

Later, when I was older, I was able to get "two little bells and a piece of string"...

CHUCK BERRY lyrics - "My Ding A Ling"

11/25/1972

4 weeks at #1 - 17 weeks on chart

When I was a little biddy boy

My grandmother bought me a cute little toy

Silver bells hanging on a string

She told me it was my ding-a-ling-a-ling

Oh

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

And then Mama took me to Grammar school

But I stopped off in the Vestibule

Everytime that bell would ring

You'd catch me playing with my ding-a-ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

Once I was climbing the garden wall,

I slipped and had a terrible fall

I fell so hard I heard bells ring,

But held on to My ding-a-ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

OnceI was swimming cross turtle creek

Man them snappers all around my feet

Sure was hard swimming cross that thing

With both hands holding my dingalingaling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

Hmm this here song it ain't so bad

The cutest little song you ever had

And those of you who will not sing

You must be playing with your own Ding-a-ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want you play with My Ding-A-Ling

Your Ding-A-Ling Your Ding-A-Ling we saw you playing with your Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling everybody's ding I want to play with My Ding-A-Ling

My Ding-A-Ling My Ding-A-Ling I want to play with My Ding-A-Ling

I am nearly 28, I remember many of these:

100, 99, 98, 97, 95, 93, 92, 91, 90, 89, 87, 86, 81, 80, 79, 75, 71, 70, 69, 68, 66, 64, 63, 61, 58, 57, 56, 54, 52, 51, 48, 47, 44, 43, 41, 40, 38, 36, 35, 29, 28, 24, 23, 20, 16, 13, 11, 2, 1

Wow. Not that I had all of these, but did play with them at one point or another (yes, sadly including My Little Pony).

I do like some of the other suggestions:

Green Army Men

erector set

Hot Wheels

G.I. Joe

Monopoly

Lite Brite

Clackers

CandyLand

Slinky

Lincoln Logs

But how about:

LEGOS

Care Bears

Star Wars Action Figures

Fun list--but I wish they could have gotten their information a bit more accurate.

Just one example--#93, Rubik's Cube. Not only is much of the info in the paragraph either ill-informed or incorrect, but they didn't even get the right item in the photograph, as the cube pictured is a Rubik's Revenge, not a Rubik's Cube.

Funny list,

Tom R. mentioned the electric vibrating football game.

My older brother had that, and it HAS to be...I MEAN IT HAS TO BE....

Without a doubt the STUPIDEST toy developed in that era.

I would pay good money to see a bunch of kids now, trying the vibrating football game with plastic players after playing with xbox.

I tried to tell my son what that game was like, but he couldn't comprehend.

My favorites were an erector set, creepy crawlies maker and electronic project kit.

chops, I think the reason that there is no electronic vibrating football game is that it seems like this list might be put together somewhere over in Europe. It mentions the flick-to-kick soccer game, but it calls it "football", and acts like it was "everywhere", even though I don't ever remember hearing about it on this side of the pond. And there is at least one instance where they mention a price, and it's in British pounds.

Things that I had that I liked that didn't make the list:

- Tomy Blip and Tomy Digital Derby

- Colecovision

- Atari 2600

- Action Jackson and Mego Super Heroes Action Figures
