O2 sensors are pretty mindless. Disconnect wire, put socket over sensor. Remove. Screw new sensr in and tighten. Connect wire and you are completed.

I will offer you this. Buy me a set of new O2 sensors and I will change mine and tell you how to do it for free. Deal?

well there is actually 3 02 sensors, one on each exhaust manifold and one between the 2 cats after the y pipe merges. the wires for them are about 12 inches from the sensors themselves. oh and they are pricey $65 a piece for the 2 front ones and $60 for the rear one, for a grand total of $190 (autozone)

The Trac has, IIRC, three O2 sensors. One for each bank of cylinders to control the engine and 1 after the catylitic converters to monitor the cats performance.

Upstream sensors cost about $50.00 and the downstream one costs about $50.00 also.

Why do you want to change your O2 sensors? Have you noticed a drop in fuel economy lately?

The remove the sensor, you need a O2 sensor socket. They cost about $10.00 to $15.00. They really arent nothing more then a deepwell socket with a slot down the side to acomodate the wire.

To be honest, I would not replace the sensor with anything else but Motorcraft. Sure it might cost more then the prices above, but, in my opinion, they are the only ones that I feel would best calibrated for our aplication.

To find the O2 sensors, just look on the Y-Pipe. The sensor sticks into the pipe and has a wire running off of it to a plug. For the downstream one, just look after the converter and you will see it.
