Shortly after I bought my ST last August (with 29,000 miles on it) I noticed the paint cracking on the hood and roof, so I took it into my dealer and I was told that some of the darker color ST's have had problems with paint cracking and checking on the flat surfaces. First questions...Has anyone else had this problem?
The dealer agreed to repaint my roof, hood, and front fender flares free of charge (still under warranty...althought it took 2 weeks...:angry
and it lookED great. I am now at 50,000 miles and a year later, and my paint on the roof is starting to "prune up" and, for the lack of better words, looks like wrinkly skin. The reciept from the dealer says that "for all work performed under warranty, any problems must be reported within 90 days." It has been almost a year...but does something like this constitute me taking the ST back to the dealer and demanding a new paint job? My roof looks worse than it did before I took it in...
