My wife has a 2003 Monte Carlo SS with dual zone air conditioning. She noticed last week that, when she turns the air conditioning on, the passenger side cools but the drivers side still has hot air. I would assume that it would be one of the doors in the heating system? If so, anyone out there have an idea of how hard this is to fix. If it's real hassle, I'll be forced to pay a shop to repair it. Thanks for any help...

On most GM cars and trucks that have dual zone AC and the air on the drivers side comes out warmer than the air on the passenger side it is a result of low refrigerant charge. There is a possibility that there could be a faulty blend door motor or even a in car temp sensor but checking the ac charge level is the first step. Have you ever had the AC system serviced??

No, never...guess that would be a good place to start.

Well, my wife came home tonight and said there is now no air at all. She wants to take it to the GM dealer....I told her to get out about $1500.00 ....I don't see getting out of a dealership for any less than that.
