Are they still making the y pipe and high flow cat? My cats just failed at 75k and I need them as soon as possible. I tried emailing Zabtech but my email is not getting threw. Can someone help me out here? What are my options? I was thinking Rt ypipe and highflow cat, which to me seems way overpriced or a magnaflow ypipe and converter which would save me a couple hundred to use toward my replacement seat cover.lol Thanks in advance

Your cats are still under the 100k mile warranty, they should last for at least 100k, if not more. Ford should replace them.. Even if you do replace w/ hipo parts, you might want to find out why the original cat failed.....

Stanner, the OBD II emmisions equiptment is only warranted until 80k miles just so you know.



S Puma, you're still under 80k so if you take it to the dealer they are required to replace them under Ford's warranty.



I just missed out on mine by 4k miles a couple years ago but I'm kinda glad I was because I ended up buyin the RT Y-pipe and high flow Cat and damn what a difference is power, sound and best of all now more rust.

When I bought mine the price of the RT parts compared to factory replacement was huge. The OEM parts totalled about $550 more the the RT stuff.

I checked and they are not under warrenty since it is an 02. Sorry, I should have said that earlier. Thanks for the fast feedback. I live in Va so I am not concerned about CA emmision tests. I just drove it home from meineke. They quoted me 1700 bucks,lol. I tried to email George from their site last night but it was coming back with delivery problems. Has anyone here ever tried the magnaflow y and cats $600? Just curious because it would be some savings and the rt pipes seem a little steep for what your getting($840).

My bad, I forgot. It's 8 years/ 80k miles for warranty on all OBD II emmissions equipment. You also have to look at the price difference because of the metals used. The RT parts are Stainless Steel ( no rust ). Where as the oem parts will rust. Also with the RT parts the y- pipe is pre cat delete, so you don't have to worry about them breaking apart an either breaking and or clogging the main cats. This is what happened with mine, the left side pre cat broke up, shot down into the main cats and clogged and broke them up.

One thing i noticed last night was it looks like the rt ypipe will clear the trans pan, whereas the stock precat blocks one corner of the trans pan. Another reason I am considering the rt is less cats equals less to replace in the future. Plus the single main converter will probably make it easier to install the rear cat while laying in the driveway, whereas having two rear cats will make it tougher to squeeze in.

Yep, those are the other reasons why I bought the RT parts along with the reasons listed above.
