Rear Door Locks

Does anyone have any idea why neither of my rear doors will open from the inside.

i've moved the child lock lever to every position and i still can't get either door to open from the inside.

any help is appreciated.

Common issue..... Broken handle or parts inside the doors....



Relatively easy to fix..

Keith, try these tricks for the time being: Press down on the flipper handle (driver side) and press the unlock button on your remote. Or you can press down on the flipper handle and enter your door code and it should unlock the door. One feature you may not be aware with the code pad is that you can enter your unlock code and re-enter it again and all other doors should open too. There is a feature there I believe to lock the doors by reversing the code. My sale rep went through all of the door codes when my ST arrived at the dealership. He was good at explaining all of the feartures of the Sport Trac. I have a 2001 ST, new in June of 2001. Now have 246,000 K . Great truck, even with the quirky things that happen with it!:banana:

Well, sorta. Enter your code then within 4 seconds, press the 3-4 button and all doors should unlock. Press 7-8 and 9-0 at the same time to lock all doors without having to enter the code.

The easy fix is something that we can do ourselves?

Cause my front driver side door lock doesn't work. Its in the open position and the key won't lock the door and nor will the key fob or buttons.
