Rear Window

Unfortunately I didn't get the rear window figured out.How it all started...

I read on the ST home web page about "how do I reset my rear window"on FAQ.I assumed "resetting"met to have your window down in any position,so I went ahead with resetting it.(Note:there was nothing wrong w/the way it worked,it worked just fine,I just didn't like it went down a little or all the way)So I reset it and when I do this,I can hear it go thru initialization,but that's it, the window won't go down at all.It seems I am missing another step in the resetting procedure.The switch and window motor are good.

I have posted this earlier,thought I'd try one more time.

There are only 3 positions for the window, OPEN, CLOSED, and VENT. Reset and reinitialization are two different procedures. Are you saying your window does nothing now?

Yes the window does nothing now.When I follow the "Resetting Steps"I can hear the thing reset or what I would call initializing,but the window won't go down.

What if you disconnect the battery for 20min. Maybe the system will reset..

Who knows, it might work ....... The rear window is not controlled through the GEM though.

I have however disconnected the battery,no luck,Steve is right on w/that.
