Hi all. I just bought a leftover '07 Sport Trac Limited. The rubber flooring doesn't seem to fit too flush with the dead pedal. It is very 'squishy' - almost like it isn't that lined up. I checked it out and can't figure out if that is how it is supposed to be. Is it supposed to be like that? Thanks.

Chad, a dead pedal is a raised place in front floorboard to rest your left foot.

Steve, cant answer your ? Maybe talk to the dealer or if you have a heat gun. Try to warm it enough to form the rubber mat.

Chad, if he has an automatic transmission then I presume the location where you place your left foot next to the kickboard...

Mine is kinda the same. I believe that might be insulation underneath that is supposed to help quiet out the ride. I'm sure someone knows for sure.

My 04 is the same way. There are cables and harnesses underneath that tend to hold the rubber/insulation mat up.
